Coordination of all work in conjunction with the manufacture and building of sets, parts of sets, scenic frames, platforms and all carpentry work on stages and permanent buildings connected with the production.
Leads the construction crew and be able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the coordinator in their absence.
Construct and weld metal scenery under the supervision of the coordinator. Shall perform these tasks without direct supervision.
Create 3D models for many uses, from prototypes and film sets, to construction, engineering and architecture projects.
Duties are to care for, safe keep and repair all construction tools and equipment.
Cut, build and install all wooden elements to build the set. Build walls and doors, this may also include building and wooden structure such as furniture.
Oversee and maintain construction techniques and standards. Expedite work to accommodate scheduling. Able to perform tasks without direct supervision
The "last line" of the construction department on set. Must remain alert to the ever-changing demands of the camera during the course of filming.
Duties include the safe operation of all equipment used in the construction department. Must have valid operators certification.
Sources and purchases all materials, as required, and performs any administrative tasks assigned by the Construction coordinator
Assist with keeping all paths on site/location and in the shop clear and safe. Duties to include cleanup and organizing of construction materials.
Shifting and storage of all construction materials and assisting in the shifting of scenic elements as deemed appropriate by the foreman.
